125 Candidates applied for the ''Book-Grant'' this year (till date).Attend the distribution ceremony on 2nd February at Sarat Sadan(2no. Hall).

Already 125 applications has been received from the eligible GDS, Contingentpaid water career& sweepers for the ''Book-Grant'' this year. Two other candidates will be given the special scholarships today. There will be no screening as per our convention ,so all the applicants are requested to attend the event with their children. All members and non-members are again cordially invited to attend the cultural programme in the evening. Take active part in the event and make it a grand success.

NOTE :- THE REQUISITE PERMISSION TO ORGANIZE THIS EVENT FROM THE HONBLE.SDO,HOWRAH SADAR IS STILL PENDING, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LAST 12 YEARS! NOT ONLY THAT,ALREADY THEY HAVE INSTRUCTED US TO DEPOSIT Rs.500.00 as AMUSEMENT TAX (!) FOR THE ''BOOK-GRANT'' DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY! WE HAVE ALREADY DEPOSITED THE SAME & WE WILL DEPOSIT Rs100.00 AS LICENCE FEE ALSO TO GET THE PERMISSION ON 02.02.2012 . IS IT CALLED THE ''CHANGE''!? JUST THINK ABOUT IT!
