Sorry friends, as I have to join the ALL INDIA STUDY CAMP organized by our CHQ. at PURI, it was not possible for me to post the detailed report of our 12 th BOOK-GRANT distribution ceremony at Sarat Sadan (No.2), Howrah, held on 2nd February 2012. It was really a superb event ended with a splendid cultural function by our staff and their children.
As our honourable Chief Guest, Sri Sanjib Ranjan, DPS (HQ) was out of station, he was unable to attend the event. Our Divisional Super Sri. H.P.Kora, ASPO's (HQ) Sri Subrata Mitra, ASPO's 1st Sub Division Sri Asit Bag, Secretary of CGCC, Howrah District Com. Bhola Bhattacharjee were present among us.
It was a real pleasure for us, that our beloved retired leaders Com. Amal Banerjee and Com. Noton Sen were also present on the stage and on our hearty request Com. Amal Da also addressed the audience with his excellent speech. Their attitude and bright presence on stage tells us again about the moral strength of NFPE .We are really thankful to them.
Com.Ashim Deb from Gr.-C Circle Union & Com.Sanatan Das from P-IV Circle Union attended the programme as the Circle representatives. In future,like the previous years,presence of Circle Secretaries will also encourage us too much, let us hope for that. Com.Ashim Deb's speech was a real gift for us from the Circle Union's, it was really very nice.
It is a great pleasure for us that Com.Adhir Das, Divl.Secretary South Presidency Divn. & Com. Jayanta Malakar,Asstt.Secretary, North Kolkata Divn has attended the function till the end.
There was 125 candidates ,who has been given the ''Book- Grant''. Ashish Das,S/O Com.Madhabi Das of B.C.Para Mugkallyan & Sonamoni Khatun of De-Ganga Barasat were the two candidates who received the special scholarships (for Rs.5000.00 each) this year. Ashis Das is a student of 3rd Year Civil Engg.received the ''Com.Animesh Dasgupta Smriti Scholarship'' & Sonamoni Khatun is in Class XI (Pure Science ) received the ''Com.Samar Roy Smriti Scholarship''.
After the distribution of book - grant, one superb cultural function was there. Com.Prasanta Bhattacherjee & Com.Rima Dey hosted the show in a very nice way. It was a real surprise for the audience, as all knows Rima Dey as a popular dancer ,but this time after her dance performance Rima was similarly good in her anchoring also. Com.Apurba Mukherjee & Com.Ruby Sen were the two ''Chupa Rustams'' of that evening. There excellent performances made us just spellbound . There are some little artists (little in age,but their performances was also too good),their very nice performances also took the event to its original level. Com.Moumita Mandal has performed in a very nice manner. And our everlasting box artists Com.Umen Chakraborty has taken us in the sweet world of instrumental music with his sweet Guitar. At last Com. Angshuman Debnath (former Postman of Central Kolkata Division, presently working as PA, Sibpur S.O. Howrah Division) decorated the total programme with his songs as the cream on a birthday cake! There is no doubt, that he is the real gift for us from the Central Kolkata Dn.
Com. Angshuman Debnath will be our next candidate who will perform in the next Sangeet Sandhya-2012 in the ''Agamir Taroka'' segment.
Thanks to all comrades who worked hard for the event, specially our three Presidents for their active supports till the end of the stage show.
N.B :- Sri Goutam Saha, GDSSV, R.K.Pur Sub Post Office, Howrah-1, distributed his recently published Duet Album (Audio CD) of Rabindra Sangeet with Anuradha Podwal to all the 125 candidates and the guests of the evening as a sweet gift from him. This Audio CD was launched on the stage of our ''Sangeet - Sandhya 2011''. Thanks to him also & wish him all success in his musical career.
